The resort is less than a two-hour drive from Krakow Airport. Founded by Dr. Józef Dietl in 1857, the resort offers numerous thermal water springs that treat various ailments. In 1909, inhalation treatments were added in special rooms, and the resort expanded into the surrounding Carpathian Plains. The resort is home to 12 types of acidic ground springs.
